Tank Components
Tank sumps are strategically positioned atop the collar of a fuel tank to fulfil various essential functions. Firstly, the tank sumps serve as an ingress point for inspection activities, enabling operators to visually assess the tank's interior for indications of corrosion, sediment accumulation, or other maintenance requirements. Leveraging our latest in-house designs for tank sumps, contractors can effortlessly installed pipes and seal them directly on the flat-sided sump of the tank sumps. This streamlined process eliminates the need for compliance with confined space regulations, as required in traditional cylindrical surface sump configurations, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and safety standards.
In the event of a fuel leak or spillage from the installed equipment on the manway cover, the sump acts as a containment area, effectively mitigating the spread of fuel and preventing environmental hazard. Our meticulously designed watertight sump cover serve the crucial function of barring water ingress into the tank, thus safeguarding the integrity of the stored fuel. Equipped with laminations encircling the base of the riser on the tank collar and gaskets positioned between the manway cover and the manway ring, these sumps ensure a robust sealing mechanism, confining only fuel-related components within. This meticulous approach serves to uphold the quality and purity of the stored fuel.
